My eyes are about to close with or without my permission, so I'm quickly posting some more pics of Christmas freebies. No links, maybe I'll add 'em later.
Freebies are:
The hair (well, sorta...it's a Christmas Special Edition at Calla, you can buy the whole holiday set, or the candy-striped hair is found in the lucky chairs).
The shirt, a freebie from Artilleri.
The skin! Yes, the skin, and one other, are freebies over at Nyte 'n Day. Here's a closeup of the face (sans eyelashes so you can see the eyelid detail):
Actually, the jeans are also freebies from Torridwear (I found them at the Gnubie store, and though I own several pairs of jeans, I keep going back to these.)
And, le pretty freebie:
The outfit, insane antlers, and nose are all freebies from Dazzle. The hair is a freebie for people in the Calla group (there's a treasure hunt going on over there for the holidays), and the necklace/earrings were 10L at Cailyn's.
Ok, off to sleep now, so I can wake up later today, look at this blog post, and smack myself for even bothering to write at 2:30am.

Jay's Random Post For The Week :D
About modeling -
I will never, ever tire of seeing this...even if I were to become a big hotshot model in SL, with thousands upon thousands of pictures of me roaming around the place (hey, it could happen! no...not really...) I will still squee and stare at the pictures...and also figure out what I'll want to do differently next time.
The forum ads for the new Old Gravy hair and tats! Wheeeeee!
This hair is gorgeous, and the flowers are super-awesome...I also like that Satine tried something a bit different with the bangs this time. Ohh, the curls...I like me some curls... :P
And the tat is fantastic! I was soo glad I got the chance to model this one, because I've been wanting a good color tat, and this one is really well-done.
As to what I'd do differently? Wear a belly ring for nekkid pics, wear a less busy shirt, and have an emoter (which I have now, hooray!)
About my job -
I worked my first true shift at Blaze tonight...and holy crap was it hectic! It was soooooo much fun...I love meeting new people, and wearing beautiful gowns, it's like everything I love about Second Life rolled into one. Granted, there were some weird situations that came up, but all in all the night went pretty smoothly.
I even got to chat with Blaze for a few moments...he's a really nice guy, but I'm still a bit wowed by him, so I probably sound like a complete goober sycophant. >.<
And of course, I had to use some of my paycheck to get myself a pretty new dress and hair...
The more I wear that PanJen skin, the more I like it...which somewhat depresses me, because I just bought a four-pack of Nomine skins that aren't even out anymore, and have barely worn them. :( :(
(Hair by ETD, dress by Shine, shoes by Ingrid Ingersoll, eyes by Lost, skin by PanJen, necklace by Kitty's Rampage)
And now, I have to say something about RL, mainly because it's something so exciting that I can barely contain myself -
Our kitchen light is working for the first time in two years!!!!!
:P

THE dress, and holiday freebs
I've been waiting for a chance to wear this dress forever, and thanks to Second Style Fashionista, I was clued in to a gorgeous ballroom, inside the NBC build. So I had to flaunt this gown...it doesn't deserve to be stuck in my inventory, after all!
And while I was there, I found a ton of freebies by Aimee Weber...all sorts of mittens, hats and scarves. Since 'tis the season for gifties, here's a pic of some of the stuff out there this year:
Shirt/pants/candy cane and hair are freebies from GuRL 6 (and the shirt says "Dear Santa, I can explain..." :P). The mittens and scarf were from the NBC build (and yes, it's easier to get into now!), bundled in cute little boxes along the lines of Christmas trees.
(Yes, I wear pajamas outside all the time, I'm just that lazy. >.<)
If you managed to read to the end of this post, here's a LM to the most awesome Christmas park I've found in SL. Loads of decorations for very reasonable prices (and free stuff as well). I can't remember the name of the place, so deal.

Amused.
Well, what with the Dazzle and Simone sales of the last few months, my inventory has become something that I can only describe as "hazardous". I mean, if LL lost half of my inventory, I wouldn't know for months. Not to mention, my wallet (which unfortunately is pretty thin due to the holidays) is screaming "no mooooore...". So my condition for buying the last few dresses and outfits I've bought, was that I was going to get rid of some of my older items.
Since yard sales have become something of a nightmare in SL, I decided to be nice for a change. I packed five boxes with one formal and one normal outfit apiece. I mean, there was my first DeGroot formal in one of them...my Dazzle Christmas gown from last year (that was so hard to give up, I almost didn't, except I knew I wouldn't wear it again so I'd rather somebody got enjoyment from it. The girl that got it was wowed)...the Christmas formal I bought myself last year, where the designer was so kind and made me a custom skirt...the floofy gown I wore with Cullen to the first Blue Note Christmas dance...sigh. Memories.
Anyways, I offered them in a group I'm in to the first five new people that IM'ed me.
I swear, there was this calm of like 20 seconds in which nobody talked in group chat, and then it was chaos in my message box. I think I now have a slight idea of what designers go through...
Looking back in my group chat log, I noticed that somebody was having problems searching for my name. They ended up being the sixth person to message me, so feeling bad, I gave them one of my short dresses (that I loved but never had a reason to wear)...only to find out, I gave it to a guy. >.<
I begged him to send me a picture, but instead he blessed me with his company at my place for an hour and a half. He gushed over my home (which was a much needed pick-me-up :D) and we talked about art and clothes. And I made a new friend. :)

These pictures hate the world.
I wanted to stop by Relic's Black Sand Beach, as I hadn't been there in awhile, and saw a notice that the place was being renovated. I can't remember if the cave was there before, but took some pictures in case it was going buh-bye.
I was feeling the dark and angsty yesterday...lol

It's wings...!
I was going to post this in LJ yesterday, but other events preempted my decision.
One of my friends - who's a constant, evil source of inspiration - linked me to a picture that I absolutely had to try and mimic in SL...
I loooove doing the fantasy pictures in SL...but don't expect many fairy pics. :P
This photo was taken in Svarga, one of the most amazing sims I've seen here.
(Outfit by Ceres, hair by Elephant Outfitters, boots by Shiny Things, skin by PixelSkin, eyes by ND)

But...but...LJ... ::sobs::
Sigh.
My Livejournal looks like ass in the new SL preview option, so I suppose I'll go over to the Dark Side for now...
::cries::
If you want to see previous posts (though I can't imagine why you would), they're at my old blog.
